Pat Coleman, Executive Editor I've been following Division III football since the early '90s, ever since the likes of Duquesne, Iona and Georgetown played D-III. I'm a 1994 graduate of Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and have been in and (now seemingly permanently) out of the Sports Information biz ever since, as both full-time and interim SID at multiple area institutions. I'm also the editor and publisher of our other site, D3hoops.com, as well as the other sites in the D3sports.com network. The other schools I applied to besides Catholic? All D-IIIs: St. John's, Macalester and Oberlin. I've written about Division III football in USA Today and been interviewed about it on ESPNews and CSTV. I'm a member of the Football Writers Association of America.

During the day (and night, sometimes) I'm the sports editor for the Verizon Central Newsroom, after working as copy desk chief at NBCSports.com and more than a decade at USA Today. My wife Cate and I have three children: Elizabeth, Robert and Colleen.

Keith McMillan, Managing Editor When his father took him to a Tufts-Bowdoin game while growing up in Somerville, Mass., or, when as a high school senior in Southern New Jersey, he began getting recruiting letters from places like Allegheny, Albright and William Paterson, Keith had no idea how big a part of his life Division III football would become.

After one season as the mid-Atlantic columnist in 2000, Keith began writing D3football.com's national column, Around the Nation, in 2001 and has done so every week since, taking a break only occasionally to get married or welcome a new child into the world. The column mixes features, analysis, opinions, trends and statistics from Division III's nearly 240 teams and 30 conferences.

Each summer, Keith coordinates the production of the annual Kickoff preseason preview, a comprehensive online-only special edition that first went live in 2005.

Keith also works alongside Pat Coleman as a color analyst on gameday broadcasts, including each Stagg Bowl since 1999, has recorded a weekly podcast with Pat since 2006 and writes for the blog, the Daily Dose.

A cornerback/free safety for Randolph-Macon from 1994-97, Keith is a full-time employee of The Washington Post, as its Night NFL Editor. Keith worked for three years as a copy editor at USA Today, and has previously been a writer, columnist and designer at three Virginia newspapers.

Keith lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, April, and two children. Reach Keith by e-mail at Keith@D3football.com or by traditional mail at 13055 Carolyn Forest Dr., Woodbridge, Va., 22192.
Gordon Mann, Deputy Managing Editor I'm a 2000 graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. I've lived all over the country including Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern California, the woods of Connecticut and now Central New York.

My first taste of Division III athletics came as co-Sports Director at WRTC 89.3 FM where I called football, basketball and hockey action for my beloved “Clamorin' Clucks.” I've had the opportunity to broadcast a wide range of sports including professional hockey, soccer and even gymnastics for television, radio and the Internet.

I help cover the East region for D3football.com and the East and Mid-Atlantic for D3hoops.com. It's been a blessing to be a part of both sites after spending so much time on them when I should've been studying for my Political Science classes.

Note: After handling public affairs and media relations for a New York State Senator, Gordon has gone back to school, working towards a master's at Penn. It's not D-III, but we'll forgive him this time.
Ryan Coleman, Developer/Photo Editor I'm a 2002 graduate of Brown College (Mendota Heights, Minn.) in PC/LAN and have been programming live data Web sites since April 2002. I have been involved in the design and production process of over 20 Web sites in the last ten years and I also was a writer and photographer for VarsityOnline.com.

When I'm not attempting to make the lives of hundreds or thousands easier reading the D3sports.com Web sites, I take the role of Photo Editor for the D3sports.com photographers. And the 45 hours per week I am not doing that I am a web developer for APi Group, Inc. in New Brighton, Minnesota, maintaining their 35 company websites and expanding their technical means to improve the experiences of both their customers and their employees.

Ryan Tipps, Senior Editor Despite growing up in the shadow of Notre Dame football, I was introduced to Division III at a young age. My father was a Wabash College graduate, and I still remember once being sandwiched in the bleachers by a small, yet boisterous, crowd in the visitors' section at Albion College in Michigan. That was nearly two decades ago; amid proud and energetic fans, it was my first encounter with D-III football.

I followed my dad's footsteps, enrolling at Wabash and there cultivating my early efforts in journalism as a writer, editor and photographer. Those efforts were accelerated after my career as a cross country and track athlete was ended by recurring leg injuries. I graduated in 2000 and went on to work at metropolitan newspapers in Indiana and eastern Virginia, finally deciding to settle down on a small farm in Southwest Virginia with my wife, a Ferrum College alumna.

I'm now D3football's Mid-Atlantic columnist, have worked on all but one of the preseason Kickoff publications, have been on the air and behind the camera on championship Saturday in Salem and took photos at the Final Four for D3hoops. I'm also a member of the American Copy Editors Society, the Football Writers Association of America and the selection staff for the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year award.

Traveling around the East Coast has, in just a short time, connected me with dozens of fans, players and coaches. Much to my pride, I've also been in my native Indiana to see the Monon Bell rivalry game between Wabash and DePauw each of the past 12 seasons. But no matter where I've landed on a given Saturday, the fact that programs at this level emphasize the "student" as well as the "athlete" makes me appreciate what I do and why these students take the field.
