The Minneapolis Star Tribune picked up on the St. Mary’s football rumors. They haven’t played football on the Winona campus since 1955. St. Mary’s is the smallest school in the MIAC. More from the Strib.
A member of the school’s Board of Visitors told D3football.com, “I would hate to see our 50-year unbeaten streak put in jeopardy.”
Alma and Wittenberg (dropped by Bethany and Thomas More) will now play each other on Sept. 17, in Week 3. The Alma/Aurora game moves to Sept. 10, Week 2.
This leaves Bridgewater still looking for an opponent, since BC and Wittenberg were in discussions about filling their mutual Thomas More date with each other.
Also, we received and posted Waynesburg’s schedule. They dropped Montclair State to fit Thomas More, so back to the drawing board for them. We’ve got three-quarters of the 2005 schedules posted now.
