What’s Jerheme Urban up to?

Moving on to Division III alumni whom the national media have pronounced correctly, Jerheme Urban (just pronounce it “Jeremy”) burst onto the national scene with a touchdown catch for the Seahawks last season on Monday Night Football.

But it’s been a bit of a trying offseason for the former Trinity (Texas) D3football.com All-America wide receiver. More from the Tacoma (Wash.) News Tribune.

    Also, UW-La Crosse linebacker Dustin Powell has been invited to the New Orleans Saints’ minicamp this weekend and will hope to get a free agent contract out of it.

    Not sure of the format this thing uses, but here’s another News-Tribune story where Hasselback singles out Jerheme and a few others for working hard in minicamp.

    Well, if you hadn’t read enough from the News-Tribune, they give our man Jerheme some props for a couple of nice catches in minicamp, also noting that he’s among those getting a lot of run now that Koren Robinson has been released.
