D3football.com is pleased to announce its Run to the Playoffs tour, a month-long up-close look at key showdowns in four states between probable postseason participants in each week's Around the Nation column and on one Game of the Week broadcast.

National columnist Keith McMillan plans to be on-site at five important clashes over the next four Saturdays, beginning with No. 6 UW-La Crosse at No. 2 UW-Whitewater, a crucial WIAC showdown, this weekend.

The following Saturday takes Around the Nation to Iowa, where McMillan will attempt to catch four IIAC teams in three hours, beginning with No. 13 Central at Cornell in Mount Vernon, and finishing with Wartburg at No. 25 Coe 12 miles away in Cedar Rapids.

On Oct. 28, editor and publisher Pat Coleman hopes to join Keith in Belton, Texas for a non-conference clash between the past two Stagg Bowl runners-up, Whitewater at No. 7 Mary Hardin-Baylor. If so, the game will be webcast on D3football.com's Game of the Week.

Nov. 4 will likely bring Around the Nation to New Jersey for No. 16 Cortland State's NJAC showdon at No. 9 Rowan. With the schedule subject to change, No. 12 Whitworth at No. 18 Linfield is also a possibility for the final stop on the tour.

As Around the Nation goes literally around the nation, we'll follow up each week with an in-depth look from each game site. We'll also blog live during games on The Daily Dose where possible.

The four-state tour is made possible by readers' support of Kickoff 2006 and other D3football.com and D3hoops.com endeavors. Your continued support means our writers can hit the road and bring the game to you without sacrificing the ability to be first with scores on game day and bring you analysis in each region and of each conference during the week.
