A bigger Homecoming
Around the Nation We won't spare you the cliché about things being bigger in Texas, since it seems to actually be true. In Keith McMillan's case, he experienced it first-hand in Abilene, Texas. At McMurry, the Homecoming gathering isn't just about football or renewing old friendships -- it's about heritage, as well as an identity that may have been vetoed by the NCAA but lives on in the student body and traditions. Keith was there for the bonfire and half of McMurry's Homecoming game against East Texas Baptist, then scooted across town for the second half of Mary Hardin-Baylor's game at Hardin-Simmons.
