In his first professional football regular-season game since 2005, D3football.com All-American running back Jamal Robertson scored two touchdowns to help lead the Toronto Argonauts to a 23-16 win against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Robertson, who was a final cut of the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons the past two seasons, was an honorable mention All-American pick in 1999 and a second-team selection in 2000.

The running back, playing his first game in the Canadian Football League, led the Argos in rushing, with nine carries for 36 yards and a touchdown, and was the leading receiver as well, with three catches for 66 yards and another score. His first touchdown came on a 52-yard pass play from M. Bishop shortly before halftime, giving Toronto an 8-6 lead. He added a 4-yard run in the third quarter, putting the Argos ahead 15-9.

The Argos acquired Robertson in a trade with Saskatchewan three weeks ago.
