As Washington and Jefferson joined the ranks of teams hoping for at-large bids to the 2008 Division III playoffs, Wheaton dropped out, for all intents and purposes, with its second loss.

If you're Trinity (Texas), or Hardin-Simmons, or Montclair State, or Rowan and you're fighting for one of those six Pool C bids, you want to win out, but you would sure like to see some other things happen to help your cause.
