The release of Kickoff 2011 is here, and you'll get to know players in Division III football better than in any previous year.

We've talked already about some of the features we have, including talking to record-chasers Alex Tanney (Monmouth), Levell Coppage (UW-Whitewater) and Mike Zweifel (Dubuque). But we also get you up close and personal with players from all four regions, from the wide receiver on a team chasing its first automatic bid to a tight end on a team looking to stay in shouting distance of the purple powers. Four of last year's fab freshmen from the WIAC are looking to match their success.

Ask around the message boards. D-III fans agree: Kickoff is worth the price.

Kickoff is an online-only publication, which will be released on Aug. 23 in preparation for the first games the weekend of Sept. 3. It's the only thing we sell all year, and proceeds help fund operations so we can cover Division III the way the big sites cover Division I.

What does Kickoff include?

  • Analysis of each conference with champions predicted by our experts.
  • Our exclusive ranking of every Division III team, from 1-239. Find out where your team and conference stands in the Division III landscape as the season kicks off.
  • More than two dozen feature stories.
  • Coverage of every team with a look at key players, big games and "X" factors.

Registration -- think of it like buying Lindy's off the shelf at the bookstore -- is $11. Users with a .edu email address qualify for a discounted price of $7.
