Stevenson celebrated a double-OT win.

Trailing 43-40 and facing a third-and-4 in the second overtime, Stevenson junior C.J. Hopson found freshman Jeromie Miller in the corner of the end zone to give the Mustangs their first win in program history Saturday night, 46-43 in front of a sellout crowd of 3,500 fans in the inaugural game at Mustang Stadium. It's just the second football game in Stevenson history.

Gettysburg quarterback Kody Smith connected with Aden Twer in the corner of the end zone for a 32-yard touchdown as time expired to give the Bullets a 40-34 victory over Ursinus. The Bears had battled back from 34-10 deficit with 8:53 left in the third to tie the score on a Chris Curran plunge with 47 seconds remaining left. Video of the game-winner.

Salisbury's introduction to the Empire 8 went smoothly, at least for the Sea Gulls. They defeated Ithaca 21-7. Quarterback Dan Griffin was 6-for-7 passing and ran for 106 yards on 20 carries and Randal Smedley had 19 carries for 83 yards in the win. Hampden-Sydney roared out to a 35-0 lead and had little trouble, defeating North Carolina Wesleyan 56-17. Travis Lane was 28-for-32 passing for 389 yards and seven touchdowns. Delaware Valley won by one point for the second week in a row, winning 20-19 at Washington and Jefferson.

North Park made it 2-for-2 against NATHC contenders, rolling out to a 31-6 lead and going on to defeat Benedictine 38-20. The Vikings ran for 377 yards in the win. Hiram snapped a 10-game losing streak, defeating Kenyon 16-13. It's just the Terriers' thrd win in the past 30 games. The ODAC improved to 13-1 as Washington and Lee, Randolph-Macon, Bridgewater and Emory and Henry each joined Hampden-Sydney and Catholic in the win column.

The MAC won the PAC-MAC challenge going away, winning five of the six matchups that got played, although remember that PAC champion Thomas More is not part of the challenge. The PAC's bright spot was a 55-3 win for St. Vincent against FDU-Florham, while Lebanon Valley got another 100-yard game from Ben Guiles in a win at Grove City.

On Friday night, Catholic remained unbeaten in 26 meetings with Gallaudet but not without a great deal of drama. The Cardinals had to score three touchdowns in the final seven minutes of the game to rally from a 17-point deficit and beat the Bison 45-41. It was the second consecutive double-digit fourth-quarter comeback for the Cardinals, who are now 24-0-2 in a series that dates to 1906. And SUNY-Maritime got back into the win column, shutting out Western Connecticut 48-0, holding the Colonials to 125 total yards.
