Nate Wara, a preseason All-America selection at quarterback for the Titans, completed 20 of 30 passes for 242 yards and ran 13 times for 95 yards and two more scores, none of them in the final 25 minutes of the game.

Whitworth survived a potential game-tying field goal attempt, as Chapman's 33-yard kick went wide left at the final gun. Albion bounced back from a tough loss last week as Clinton Orr scored four touchdowns and Wes Dolen picked off two passes in the fourth quarter in defeating Central 35-16. Dominic Bona got the call at quarterback in place of injured Peter Krauss.
