PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Carnegie Mellon University football team
opens its 2010 home campaign Saturday, September 18, as the
Statesmen of Hobart College travel to Pittsburgh. Kickoff is set
for 12:00 p.m. on the turf of Gesling Stadium.
This will be the fourth meeting between the two schools, as the
Statesmen lead the series 3-0, winning in 2007 and 2009 in Geneva,
N.Y., by the scores of 27-26 and 24-16. In 2008, they won 21-16 in
Pittsburgh. Carnegie Mellon will enter the game with a 1-1 mark
after losing at Allegheny College last Saturday, 34-27. Hobart will
enter the contest riding a five-game regular-season winning streak,
after a 38-7 victory last Saturday over Dickinson to open its
season at 1-0.
