PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Carnegie Mellon University football team will host Hiram College Saturday, October 2. Kick is set for 1:00 p.m. on the turf of Gesling Stadium. The Tartans will enter the contest with a 2-2 record as the Terriers bring a 1-3 overall mark to Gesling Stadium.
It will mark the 26th meeting between the Tartans and Terriers, as the Cardinal and Gray lead the series 20-5 and are winners of the last seven. The first meeting between the two teams dates back to 1915 when Carnegie Mellon defeated Hiram by the score of 46-7.
The Tartans are coming off a 17-10 victory over Kenyon College this past Saturday while Hiram enters the game following a 47-21 setback to Oberlin College. Carnegie Mellon rushed for a season-high 247 yards in the win with junior Chris Garcia breaking the 100 barrier for the first time this season with 104 yards on the ground.
