Trine LB Named MIAA Defensive POW

ROYAL OAK, Mich. - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Trine linebacker Brock Reinig, Defensive Player of the Week in football for games played October 2.

Reinig, a junior from Leo, Ind. (Leo HS), made five tackles, including two tackles for loss and two sacks, forced a fumble and had a fumble recovery in leading Trine to a 24-16 road victory over Adrian. With Reinig playing a key role, the Thunder defense held the Bulldogs to minus-5 yards rushing and recorded five sacks. He is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

The Thunder are ranked No. 14 in the D3football.com Top 25 poll and No. 10 in the AFCA Coaches Poll.

Trine hosts LaGrange (Ga.) at Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium Saturday in a 1 p.m. kickoff.
