Mary Hardin-Baylor senior running back Quincy Daniels (Belton, TX / BHS) ran for 118 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries – all in the first 21 minutes – to fuel a 76-12 road win over Sul Ross State that clinched at least a share of the ASC title and the league's automatic berth into the NCAA playoffs. Daniels, who did not play after the middle of the second quarter, also added a 47-yard kickoff for the nationally-ranked Cru. He is just 25 yards shy of tying the ASC's career rushing record of 3,672.

Texas Lutheran freshman safety Brandon Thomas (Houston, TX / Sterling HS) had 13 tackles – including nine solo stops – two pass break-ups and one tackles for a loss to fuel a 42-23 win over Mississippi College.
