Sucharski, Segit and DiMeco tabbed All-Americans

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The postseason accolades continue to roll in for the Norwich University football team as seniors Zach Sucharski, Brian Segit and Rocco DiMeco were all named All-Americans it was announced late last month. Sucharski and Segit were named to the fourth team while DiMeco picked
up honorable mention recognition.

Sucharski had a dominant year along the defensive line for Norwich. He tied for second on the team in sacks (3.5) while ranking sixth in total tackles (53). Sucharski recently competed in the D3 Senior Classic in Salem, Va., where he registered a sack and multiple tackles in helping the North squad to 26-18 victory over the South.

Segit, owner of a lethal right leg, averaged 36.3 yards on his booming punts.
He also showed the ability to kick with touch, leading the Eastern
Collegiate Conference (ECFC) by placing 11 kicks inside the 20-yard line.

DiMeco capped off his stellar career by recording 59 total tackles over nine games, two of which he was limited by a sprained MCL in his knee. is the nation's first and only Division III pro day and combine for seniors. The selection board is made up of pro scouts, NFL and CFL agents, as well as former NFL coaches and players. The All-American teams represent the best Division III players in the nation based on past and present performance, awards and accolades, and pro ability and size.

Last year, over 50 top Division III players, including six All-Americans and 28 all-conference players, worked out at the East Preps Regional Combine in New Jersey. This year's regional combines are set for Philadelphia, Richmond, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
