Seven Norwich players named to ECFC All-Academic team

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Seven Norwich University
football scholar-athletes were named to the 2010 Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) All-Academic team it was announced by the conference Thursday afternoon. Five seniors highlighted the group for NU.

Seniors Derek Hungerford, an Accounting major from St. Alban's Vt., as well as Jon Thomas, an Electrical Engineering major from Liverpool, N.Y.,
and Charles Stiles, an Architecture major from Highspire, Penn., were all honored.

Classmates Daniel Reale (Burlington, Mass.) and Nick Campbell (Newton, N.J.), both majoring in Criminal Justice, were also named to the team.  

Junior LB Brendan Carroll, a Computer Security
and Information Assurance major from Wellington, Fla., and sophomore OL Joshua Menge, a Criminal Justice major from Hagaman, N.Y., were the only two Norwich underclassmen to make the squad.

To qualify for the honor, each student-athlete had to be at least an academic sophomore and two-year member of the football team as well as carry a 3.30 cumulative GPA or higher.
