More news about: Gallaudet

ROSELAND, N.J. – Senior Tom Pangia (Hammonton, N.J.) was named to another preseason All-American team this week as USA Football News announced its 2012 Division III Preseason All-American teams. Pangia, a linebacker, was named to the third team defense to represent Gallaudet University. This is the 20th annual Division III preseason All-American team that is selected by coaches, sports information directors, pro scouts, media and USA Football News staff.

Former Bison defender Matt Harris was selected to the second team defense but he is not on the team this season.

This is Pangia's third preseason honor as he has been named recently to the 2012 D3 Senior Classic South Region second team defense and the 2012 Beyond Sports College Network second team defense back in July.

Pangia, the first-ever three-time All-ECFC first team defender, led the conference with 103 tackles (72 solo) as the team co-captain had 11 or more tackles in six of the 10 games this season. The junior linebacker forced two fumbles, recovered one, and made one interception as he started in all 10 games.

Gallaudet will open the season on Saturday, September 1, in Ohio to take on Otterbein University in a non-conference game at 1 p.m.
