Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College senior co-captain RB Evan Bunker (Topsfield, Mass.) was selected for the Lindy's College Football Pre-Season NCAA Division III All-American Second Team.  The Bantams, coached by Jeff Devanney (9th Season), posted an 8-0 record in 2012 to win their sixth New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) title in an 11-year span.  The Bantams finished ranked No. 1 in New England Division III Final Poll and tied with Johns Hopkins for No. 6 in the ECAC Lambert Meadowlands Poll.

Bunker, a Beyond Sports Network (BSN) All-American Honorable Mention, a D3Football.com All-East Second Teamer, and an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III North All-Star last fall, rushed 207 times (tied College record) for a NESCAC-high 1,275 yards last autumn with 11 touchdowns and added 11 receptions for 97 yards.  He finished second in the league in all-purpose yards with 1,420 yards, and eighth in total offense with 1,299 yards, and was also selected for the 2012 New England Football Writers All-New England Division II/III Team and the All-NESCAC First Team.  Bunker, who was a Consensus Draft Services All-American Honorable Mention and an All-NESCAC First Teamer in 2011, broke Trinity's all-time rushing mark in just three seasons with a total of 3,066 yards on the ground.  A graduate of the Masconomet High School, Bunker is majoring in American Studies at Trinity.  He is the son of Lauren and David Bunker.
