It was announced earlier this month that senior kicker Kevin Grady (Seattle, WA) collected his second preseason award with a spot on the 2013 Lindy'sAll-Division III First Team for Offense, following an Honorable Mention All-America nod from Beyond Sports Network. The University of Redlands football player represents the Bulldogs and the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) as the sole selection to be included on any of the four teams of honorees.
While handling primary kicking duties for the Bulldogs, Grady enters his final season as the Maroon and Gray's leading scorer from a year ago. He tallied 77 points on the season, splitting the uprights on 35 points-after-tries and 14 field goals. Last season he provided the fourth-best number of made field goals in NCAA Division III with 1.56 per game while converting 77.8% of his tries.
A two-time All-SCIAC First-Team honoree, Grady also was recognized by two organizations as an All-American in 2012, earning the distinction from D3football.com and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).
The Bulldogs look forward to the start of the 2013 season with its home opener on Saturday, September 7, against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (TX) at 7 p.m.
