41 Freshmen Join The Maritime Football Family As Camp Begins This Past Weekend

THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (August 12, 2013) – When the Maritime football team reported to preseason camp this past Saturday to officially start the 2013 season, the program welcomed 41 new faces to become a part of the close-knit family, in addition to the great number of returners from last year's squad. The new Privateer Class of 2017 consists of student-athletes from five states along the East Coast.

"The coaching staff put in a great effort in recruiting over the past year and we are very excited about this incoming freshman class," said ninth-year head coach Clayton Kendrick-Holmes. "They are an athletic group that meets the needs of our team this year and beyond. They have super credentials on and off the field and I am looking forward to how they will impact our program and campus."
