HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College football senior Ken Kysor (Port Allegheny, Pa./Port Allegheny) has been named Centennial Conference special teams player of the week, the league announced Monday. Kysor made 3-of-4 field goals in the Eagles 37-14 win over Dickinson College last Saturday.
"Kenny is very deserving," said head coach Tim Launtz. "He played a very good game on Saturday."
Kysor was a perfect 4-for-4 in PAT attempts and earned a career-high 13 points in the win. His 38-yard strike towards the end of the first quarter was a career-long mark. He finished the game with two boots over 35 yards.
"He allows us an opportunity, with his range, to score without having to debate whether to go for it or not," added Launtz. "Kenny brings an added dimension to our offense. He has shown consistency in our first two games and we expect he will continue that throughout the year."
Eagles receiving helmet stickers from the conference for their performances on Saturday were senior Greg Nixon (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Poly) and junior Ward Udinski (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West).
Juniata (2-0) faces Gettysburg next in its Centennial home opener on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m.
