SCHENECTADY, NY -- It's Homecoming and Family Weekend at Union, and the Dutchmen football team looks for a second straight Liberty League win Saturday. Union hosts Worcester Polytechnic Institute at 1:30 p.m. at Frank Bailey Field.
Union (1-3, 1-1 in Liberty League) leads the all-time series with WPI, 32-8, since the series began in 1909. The Dutchmen have won 16 of the last 17 meetings, with WPI's last win coming in Worcester in 2008, 19-16 at Alumni Field. WPI's last victory in Schenectady came on September 18, 1999, 7-3.
Last week at Springfield, Connor Eck passed for 320 yards to lead Union to a 27-7 league win Saturday at Stagg Field. Eck finished the afternoon going 20-for-34 and a score in the air, while rushing for 42 yards and adding another TD on the ground. T.J. Franzese totaled 83 yards and a TD, while Tosin Kazeem snagged six balls for a career high 103 yards. Eck was named the Liberty League Offensive Player of the Week after his first career 300 yard passing performance.
WPI comes in with a 2-3 mark and also a 1-1 record in league play. The Engineers lost at Hobart after defeating RPI at home on September 28.

After this week, Union will head back on the road to face Western New England. It's a non-league game on October 19 at 1 p.m. After that, Union returns to league play at Rochester October 26. The next home contest is November 2 vs. Hobart at 12 p.m.
