BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins football team maintained its number 14 ranking in this week's American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Poll and jumped one spot to 15th in the D3football.com rankings. This is the third consecutive week the Blue Jays are ranked 14th by the AFCA, while they move up the one spot in the D3football.com Poll after spending four weeks at #16.

The AFCA Poll, which the Johns Hopkins Athletic Communications office uses to reflect JHU's official national ranking, is topped again by defending national champion Mount Union, which earned 39 first-place votes and totaled 1,047 points to earn the top spot. Mary Hardin-Baylor grabbed the three remaining first-place votes and 1,004 points to rank second, while Linfield (968 points), North Central (905) and Hobart (807) round out the top five.

Mount Union also tops the D3football.com Poll, and is followed by Linfield, Mary Hardin-Baylor, North Central and Bethel in the top five.

Johns Hopkins (5-0, 4-0 Centennial) was off last weekend and returns to action this Friday night when the Blue Jays welcome Dickinson to Homewood Field (7 pm). Hopkins will carry several impressive streaks into the game, including a 15-game regular season home winning streak and a 10-game winning streak in the month of October.
