BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Matt Pawlowski threw for two touchdowns and Josh Schow ran for one in Guilford College's 21-14 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) football win at Bridgewater College Saturday.

The Quakers (4-2, 3-0 ODAC) posted their third straight win and improved to 3-0 in the league for the first time since 1998. The victory also marked Guilford's first at Jopson Field since 1997.

Pawlowski threw a two-yard touchdown pass to junior Josh Williams in the first quarter to open the game's scoring. He added a 13-yard strike to sophomore Hayden Read in the third quarter, which opened a 21-7 advantage. The sophomore completed 16-of-24 passes for 180 yards and also added 37 rushing yards.

Bridgewater cut the Quakers' lead to 21-14 on Jeffrey Moore's 18-yard touchdown catch from Willie Logan. The play capped an eight-play, 89-yard scoring drive with 6:03 left in the game.

Guilford's offense converted three key third-down plays on the ensuing possession to secure the win. Pawlowski connected with Schow for a 17-yard gain on a third-and-16 play from the Quakers' 19. He later found Adam Smith for an 11-yard pickup on third-and-six, and his three-yard keeper on a third-and-one essentially sealed the win with 2:03 left in the game.

Schow gained 30 of his 114 rushing yards on the game's final drive and surpassed century mark for the sixth straight time. He also scored on a one-yard plunge in the second quarter, which opened a 14-0 Guilford lead. Schow has a career-high 816 rushing yards this year, the eighth-best season total in school history. His nine rushing scores stand third at Guilford.

The Quakers' defense yielded 204 rushing yards, but limited Logan to 14-of-32 passing for 158 yards. Junior Satiir Stevenson made a season-high 11 tackles and sophomore JerMario Gooch added his team-leading third interception, which was the game's lone turnover. Gooch's one-handed grab at the Quakers' five-yard line ended a Bridgewater scoring chance early in the third quarter with Guilford holding a 14-7 lead.

Bridgewater's Jacob Wright led all ballcarriers with 122 rushing yards on 23 carries. Logan added 73 yards on nine carries and scored on a 10-yard, second-quarter run. Moore was Logan's favorite target with five catches for 76 yards, both game highs.

Coach Chris Rusiewicz's Quakers return home to host Randolph-Macon College Saturday (10/26) at 1:00 p.m. in a meeting of 3-0 ODAC teams.
