HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The 2013 Juniata College football team is doing something that only two other squads in program history have.  The Eagles will play in a postseason contest.  Juniata (7-3) takes on Albright College Saturday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southwest Bowl title.

Series History
This is the 57th meeting between Juniata and Albright.  The Lions lead the all-time series 33-22-1, but the programs have not faced since Juniata left the Middle Atlantic Conference after the 2006 season.  The last time Juniata defeated the Lions was at home in 2002.  Their last road win over Albright was in 1999.

Going to the Dance
It has been 40 years since Juniata football has played in a postseason game.  The last was the 1973 National Championship Stagg Bowl. Juniata's only other postseason appearance was in 1955 when it competed in the Tangerine Bowl.

Leader of the Pack
After just three seasons at the helm, Juniata football head coach Tim Launtz was named Centennial Conference Coach of the Year. He led the program to a 7-3 record (6-3 Centennial), third place finish in the league and Juniata's first postseason appearance in 40 years.
