It was announced early today that senior wide receiver Taylor Irwin (Rocklin, CA) will represent the University of Redlands football team in the 2013 Collegiate Development Football League's D3 Senior Classic on Friday, December 13, in Salem, Virginia. Now in its fifth year, the D3 Senior Classic strives to include the nation's best Division III players who have completed their final year of eligibility.

Irwin completed his four-year career at Redlands as a team captain of the 2013 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's (SCIAC) undefeated champions. The Bulldogs also advanced to the NCAA Division III Championships for the seventh time under Head Coach Mike Maynard.
As the Maroon and Gray's top target, Irwin registered 680 receiving yards on 48 catches for five touchdowns. While averaging 14.2 yards per catch, Irwin recorded his career-long of 99 yards in the team's season opener against No. 2 University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (TX).
In addition, Irwin returned 13 punts for 90 yards and four kick-offs for 87 yards.
He led the Bulldogs in all-purpose yards at 878 in 10 games played this campaign.
Earlier this season, Irwin was named a USA Football Network Division III Preseason Third-Team All-American as well as an Honorable Mention All-American for the D3 Senior Classic Preseason list.
