Mariners Capture NCAA Division III Rushing Title

Maine Maritime Academy earned the title as the premier rushing team in Division III for the 2013 season.

The Mariners averaged 372.6 yards per game on the ground and out-rushed Washington & Lee by about 26 yards. Senior fullback Billy Wetherbee led Maine Maritime's attack with 1,467 yards and tied for 10th in the nation in Division III rushing yards per game. Sophomore quarterback Michael Fahey was second on the team with 877 yards in the Mariners nine game season.
