The Tartans scored 24 unanswered points to come away with a 30-20 win. The Tartans are now 3-0, 1-0 PAC, while the Yellow Jackets are now 0-3, 0-1.

September 9, 2017 Strong First Half Propels Carnegie Mellon to a 42-14 Win Over Rochester The Carnegie Mellon University football team opened its home schedule with a 42-14 win over the University of Rochester on Saturday, September 9. Senior running back Sam Benger (Hingham, Mass.) recorded his fifth career four touchdown game, as he rushed for three and caught another. The senior ended the game with 208 yards rushing on eight carries, all in the first half, to lift the Tartans to their first 2-0 start since the 2012 season.

September 6, 2017 Carnegie Mellon's Bikulege and Prather Receive Weekly Recognition Carnegie Mellon University senior linebacker Stanley Bikulege and senior wide receiver John Prather were both honored for their play in the Tartans 28-7 road victory over Washington University in St. Louis this past Saturday. Bikulege was named Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) and University Athletic Association (UAA) Defensive Player of the Week while Prather was honored as the UAA Offensive Athlete of the Week.
