November 8, 2017 Carnegie Mellon University Game Notes vs. #14 Case Western Reserve University The Carnegie Mellon University football will host 14th-ranked Case Western Reserve University in the 32nd Annual Academic for its final game of the season Saturday, November 11. The Tartans enter Saturday’s contest with 7-2 overall record and a 5-2 mark in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and 1-0 record in the University Athletic Association (UAA). Case Western Reserve is 9-0, 7-0 (PAC) and 1-0 (UAA).
November 1, 2017 Benger named Campbell Trophy finalist Carnegie Mellon senior running back Sam Benger is one of 13 finalists for the 2017 William V. Campbell Trophy. Benger is the lone Division III representative among the finalists for a trophy which has only gone to a Division III student-athlete one time in its history.

October 24, 2017 Carnegie Mellon's Benger and Kohman Receive Weekly Recognition Carnegie Mellon University senior running back Sam Benger (Hingham, Mass.) was named Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Offensive Player of the Week following his performance in the Tartans’ 42-10 win at Thiel College this past Saturday. Benger was also honored by the University Athletic Association (UAA) as Offensive Athlete of the Week with senior Tyler Kohman (Pataskala, Ohio/Columbus Academy) recognized as Kohman was named UAA Special Teams Athlete of the Week.
October 21, 2017 Benger Rushes for 204 Yards in Carnegie Mellon’s 42-10 Win at Thiel The Carnegie Mellon University football team traveled to Greenville, Pennsylvania on Saturday to play the Tomcats of Thiel College and left with a 42-10 Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) victory. Carnegie Mellon is now 7-1 and 5-1 in PAC play, as Thiel moves to 1-6 and 1-4.
