November 16, 2016 Carnegie Mellon to Play Salisbury in ECAC Legacy Bowl The Carnegie Mellon University football team will play Salisbury University in the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Legacy Bowl Championship Sunday, November 20. Kick is set for 11:00 a.m. on the turf at Franklin Field on the campus of University of Pennsylvania, who are serving as host in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
November 12, 2016 Carnegie Mellon Wins 31st Academic Bowl with 26-21 Victory at Case Western Reserve; Benger Becomes All-Time Rushing Leader The Carnegie Mellon University football team traveled to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and University Athletic Association (UAA) rival Case Western Reserve University for the 31st Annual Academic Bowl on Saturday, November 12. For the second straight season, the Tartans won a thriller over the 21st-ranked Spartans, 26-21, and claimed a share of the UAA championship. The Association title marks the 10th in program history. The contest counts towards both the PAC and UAA standings.
November 9, 2016 Carnegie Mellon Travels to Case Western Reserve in 31st Annual Academic Bowl The Carnegie Mellon University football will travel to Cleveland, Ohio, to play Case Western Reserve University in the 31st Annual Academic Bowl for its final game of the season Saturday, November 12. The Tartans enter Saturday’s contest with a 6-3 overall record and a 5-2 mark in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) while holding a 1-1 record in the University Athletic Association (UAA). Case Western Reserve is 9-0, 7-0 (PAC) and 2-0 (UAA).
November 5, 2016 Carnegie Mellon Scores 30 Unanswered in 37-24 Win at Chicago The Carnegie Mellon University football team traveled to the University of Chicago on Saturday, November 5 and scored 30 unanswered points, including four touchdowns in a span of 8:28, to walk away with a 37-24 win in University Athletic Association (UAA) play. The Tartans are 6-3 overall and 1-1 in UAA play, maintaining a mark of 5-2 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC). The Maroons move to 4-5, 0-2.
November 2, 2016 Carnegie Mellon Heads to Windy City for UAA Contest The Carnegie Mellon University football team will travel to Chicago, Illinois, on Saturday, November 5 to play the Maroons of the University of Chicago in University Athletic Association (UAA) action. The Tartans will look for their fourth straight win this season and first victory in the Windy City since 2011.
