September 18, 2018 #18 CWRU Football Returns Home to Host Thiel on Saturday The Case Western Reserve University football team, ranked 18th in Division III, will look to continue its strong start to the season Saturday night, when the Spartans play host to Thiel College for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff at DiSanto Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
September 18, 2018 CWRU QB Saxton Earns PAC & UAA Weekly Honors Freshman quarterback Drew Saxton of the 19th-ranked Case Western Reserve University football team, was named the University Athletic Association Football Athlete of the Week for Offense, and the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, after his standout performance during the Spartans’ 49-23 win at Grove City College on Saturday night.
September 15, 2018 Freshman QB Saxton Shines in #19 CWRU’s 49-23 Win at Grove City Case Western Reserve University freshman quarterback Drew Saxton threw for 361 yards and five touchdowns in his just his second collegiate game, as the 19th-ranked Spartans began their Presidents’ Athletic Conference title defense with a 49-23 win at Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania on Saturday night.
March 5, 2018 CWRU's Calhoun to Receive Prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Case Western Reserve University senior Cody Calhoun (Columbus, Ohio / Bishop Watterson), a safety and kick returner for the football team, was selected as one of the 29 men’s fall sport recipients of the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, which recognizes student-athletes with plans on attending graduate school for their athletic and academic achievements, along with their work in the community and demonstrated leadership.
November 25, 2017 No. 16 CWRU Falls to Second-Ranked Mount Union 45-16 in NCAA Playoffs A career-day for junior wide receiver Justin Phan was not enough for 16th-ranked Case Western Reserve University at the second-ranked University of Mount Union on Saturday, as the 16th-ranked Spartans saw their season come to an end with a 45-16 loss to the Purple Raiders in Alliance, Ohio.
November 21, 2017 #16 CWRU Football to Take on #2 Mount Union in NCAA Second Round Case Western Reserve University (11-0, 8-0 PAC, 2-0 UAA), ranked 16th in Division III, will be making its second-ever appearance in the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships, when the team travels to Alliance, Ohio to take on the perennial DIII football power and second-ranked University of Mount Union (11-0, 9-0 OAC) on Saturday, November 25th at 12:00 p.m.
