He recently announced that Greg Hadley and Art Garvey '13 will join the Statesmen while Mike Green '14 will get a new responsibility.
March 5, 2018 Cragg steps down; DeWall steps in Longtime Hobart coach Mike Cragg has moved on into a role in advancement for the school after 23 years as head coach. His former assistant, Kevin DeWall, who was most recently cut loose as Endicott head coach, will take over.
March 2, 2018 Hobart's Cragg Moves to Advancement Hobart College Head Football Coach Mike Cragg has announced that after 32 years coaching at Hobart, he will transition into the Office of Advancement as the Senior Director of Development for Athletics, a role that combines Cragg's background with his dedication to providing opportunities for students to succeed as scholars and athletes.
March 2, 2018 DeWall ’00 tapped to lead Hobart football Hobart College Interim Director of Athletics Brian Miller announced today that Kevin DeWall '00 has been appointed the 24th head coach of the Statesmen football program. DeWall will be the first alum to lead Hobart on the gridiron since Francis L. "Babe" Kraus '24 guided the program in 1942. The 2000 Patriot League Men's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year, DeWall received a bachelor's degree in biology at Hobart, earning Dean's List honors in each of his four years on campus where he was a member of the Orange Key and Druid honor societies.
