Week 6 (games of Oct. 10-11)

Offense
QB Nels Fredrickson, Jr., UW-Eau Claire
Fredrickson helped guide the Blugold offense to victory over No. 3 UW-La Crosse with a 26-for-40 performance for 337 yards and two touchdowns. He added 31 rushing yards.

OL Tye Conry, Adam Hernandez, Jarad Hale, Steven Huth, Garet Black, Hardin-Simmons
The Cowboys have not allowed a sack in the last three games, giving Jordan Neal all sorts of time to throw against Howard Payne, and have paved the way for a 100-yard back each of the last two weeks.

RB Wayne Davis, Sr., Louisiana College
Davis carried 34 times for 322 yards and four touchdowns in a 34-18 win against McMurry. The total was an American Southwest Conference record and is the highest mark in Louisiana collegiate football history.

RB Nate Long, Jr., Norwich
In his second game back after missing time with a shoulder injury, Long carried 40 times for 384 yards and a touchdown in a 35-28 win against Worcester Polytech.

RB Eugene Vick, Jr., Montclair State
Vick ran for a career-best 249 yards on 31 carries as Montclair State won a defensive battle with Kean, 9-0. Vick became the first MSU back to rush for 200 yards since 1992. Vick had a long of 66 yards and averaged 8.03 yards per carry. With the game, Vick, who posted his second 100-yard game of the season, doubled his yearly output to 465 net yards this season.

WR Cody Kelley, Sr., Wartburg
Kelley caught 12 passes for 184 yards, 10 of them from his own quarterback and two more of them as a defensive back in a 47-15 win against Loras.

WR Lesley Wills, Jr., Salisbury
Wills scored one both of his receptions in Salisbury's 44-3 win over Chowan. He finished with two catches for 95 yards and touchdowns of 40 and 55 yards.

Defense
DL Jarrod Smith, Sr., Trinity (Texas)
Smith recorded a career-best three sacks in the game, as well as the first interception of his career, which he returned for a 50-yard touchdown. The interception put Trinity ahead 14-0, and interrupted Washington U's first drive of the second half. Two of his three sacks came on crucial third down plays to ruin offensive possessions

DL Bill Battaglia, Jr., Alfred
Battaglia finished with six tackles, including three solo hits, and scored a touchdown for the Alfred defense that limited Hartwick to 88 yards rushing in a 41-6 win. His third-quarter sack caused a fumble, which he recovered and ran in 25 yards for the score.

DL Andy LeBlanc, Jr., Fitchburg State
LeBlanc recorded three sacks (for 31 yards) and forced three fumbles in a 34-18 road win at Endicott. LeBlanc's first sack forced a fumble that teammate Aaron Brennan picked up in the end zone for FSC's first touchdown. LeBlanc also forced a fumble on the ensuing kickoff that was recovered by the Falcons. LeBlanc's third and final sack also resulted in a fumble that was recovered by the FSC and converted into a touchdown two plays later. On the day he registered five solo tackles.

DL Jason Ripke, So., Simpson
Ripke helped Simpson record its first shutout since 2001 as the Storm defeated Cornell 55-0. He recorded 10 total tackles, four for loss and three sacks while breaking up two passes.

LB Casey Carlson, Sr., Pacific Lutheran
Carlson finished with 12 tackles (seven solo), four for loss and three sacks in a 27-17 win against Eastern Oregon. He caused a pair of fumbles and broke up a pass.

LB Grant Acker, Jr., Gettysburg
Acker recorded a career-high 15 tackles in the Bullets’ 30-20 victory over McDaniel. He made 11 solo stops on the day and one tackle for loss while reaching double-digit tackles for the fourth consecutive week as Gettysburg posted its first win over the Green Terror since 1996.

LB Brent Gailey, Jr., Hardin-Simmons
Not only did he have a career-best 14 tackles (11 solo), he made the play of the year for the Cowboys. Trailing 14-10 midway through the second quarter and with Howard Payne at the HSU 11, Gailey anticipated the snap was in on Adam King as he backed away from center, stripped the ball and the Cowboys recovered, went on to score and never trailed again in the game.

DB Thom Hausler, So., Capital
Hausler had a school-record 100-yd interception return for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter to seal Capital's 31-13 win at crosstown rival Otterbein. Hausler had two interceptions in the game to give him the OAC lead with five on the season. He also broke up three passes and had four tackles, two solo.

DB Dan Regan, Jr., Adrian
Regan had eight tackles, five solo, broke up two psses and returned an interception 75 yards for a touchdown.

DB Anthony Morris, Jr., Averett
Morris intercepted a Methodist pass in the fourth quarter that he returned 80 yards for the eventual game-winning touchdown. On the next Methodist drive, he blocked a field goal attempt to preserve a seven-point advantage. He also stopped Methodist's last drive of the first half with a diving interception to end the second quarter deep in Averett territory. He recorded three tackles (two solo) and broke up three passes.

DB Peter Eastlund, Jr., Bethel
Eastlund dominated from his free safety position in Bethel's 33-7 win against St. Olaf. In addition to Eastlund's eight solo tackles, he recovered one fumble and also returned a blocked punt 32 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. It was Bethel's eighth blocked punt of the season.

Special teams
K Jarred Boehner, Jr., Frostburg State
Boehner kicked a school-record four field goals, including a game-winning 22-yarder in overtime, to help Frostburg State to a 42-39 win against Wesley

P Ryan Drews, Jr., Oberlin
Drews set an NCAC record with a 79-yard punt in the fourth quarter against Wooster. He placed three punts inside the 20-yard line on the day and averaged 39.7 yards over seven attempts. In addition, he picked up a bad snap and ran 18 yards for a first down in the 14-7 upset of Wooster.

RET Brian Wise, Jr., Brockport State
Wise had 251 all purpose yards and led Brockport State to a 38-35 win against St. John Fisher. His 97-yard kickoff return for a TD at 9:41 of the fourth came after the Cardinals had tied the game at 28-28. It broke the school record of 95 yards set last season. Wise also had scoring runs of 2, 35 and 3 yards. He took over the return duties after regular returner Jeremy Lynch suffered an injury in the first quarter.
