Offense
QB Sam Durley, Sr., Eureka
Durley broke an NCAA single-game record with 736 passing yards, one of six school records broken on Saturday, helping the Red Devils come from behind for a 62-55 win against Knox in the inaugural Abraham Lincoln Bowl. Durley's effort broke the previous single-game record of 731 yards held by Menlo's Zamir Amin on Oct. 7, 2000. Durley finished the game 34-for-52 with five TD passes. His final pass gave the Red Devils their first lead of the afternoon that eventually held up as the final 62-55 score. In addition to the single-game NCAA record, Durley broke Eureka's all-time passing yardage, attempts and passing touchdown records on Saturday. 

OL Matt Hochstrasser, Dylan Alexander, Matt Cannata, Kendall Wilkerson, and Jacob Laubach, Texas Lutheran
The TLU offensive line helped to produce a 100-yard rusher, a 100-yard receiver, and a 293-yard passer. The Bulldogs surrendered just one sack. The team averaged 4.7 yards per rush and 6.8 yards per play in the 38-16 win over Austin College.

RB Cecil Brimmage, Jr., Illinois College
Brimmage ran for an Illinois College single-game record 341 yards in a 51-28 win over Hanover. The yardage total was the third highest in Midwest Conference history. Brimmage scored on runs of 4, 15 and 52 yards, while averaging 12.2 yards per carry in the win.

RB Gage Mohs, Jr., Coe
Mohs got the load of the carries Saturday, taking advantage of an injured Brendan Leiran. Mohs had a career-high 173 yards rushing, including a long of 60 yards. He scored three touchdowns and also caught three passes for 65 yards.

WR Ryan Carney, So., Buffalo State
In his first collegiate game, Carney caught 12 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-31 win against Cortland State. It snapped a six-game losing skid for the Bengals to the Dragons.

WR Jordan Kindred, Sr., Eureka
Kindred, playing his first organized football game of any kind on Saturday, hauled in 13 balls for 235 yards in Eureka's win at Knox. The 13 catches were the third-most catches in a game by a Red Devil in program history, while the 235 yards marked the fourth-best performance in school history.

WR Jimmer Bennett, Sr., Union
Bennett had a career high in both receiving yards (172) and receptions (seven) in Union's opener. He had a career best 67-yard touchdown catch in the contest. It was Bennett's second career 100 yard receiving game.

Defense
DE Alex Tripp, Jr., North Central (Ill.)
Tripp had five tackles, three solo, including three tackles for loss in a 21-17 loss to UW-La Crosse. Tripp was responsible for one and a half sacks.

DT Nick Erdman, Sr., Shenandoah
Erdman had five tackles, two solo, and a sack in a 26-16 win against Stevenson. He also blocked an extra point.

DE Devin Hardy, Sr., Wesley
Hardy recorded five tackles, two of them solo stops, in a 34-14 win at East Texas Baptist. He had one and a half tackles for loss and a sack.

LB Adnan Sakiri, Jr., Montclair State
Sakiri, making his first career start, had 19 tackles in the Red Hawks' 31-21 loss to Lebanon Valley in the MAC-NJAC Challenge at Sprague Field on Saturday. Sakiri's 19 tackles were three shy of the MSU single-game record held by College Football Hall of Fame member Sam Mills. Sakiri's effort helped MSU limit the Flying Dutchmen to 288 yards of offense, including 62 in the second half.

LB Geoffrey Miller, Jr., Cornell
Miller tied a school record for total tackles in a game with 22, including 11 solo and a pass breakup. He had 16 tackles in the first half of a 41-39 win at Lawrence.

LB Mike Valesano, Sr., St. Thomas
Valesano returned after missing the 2011 season with an injury and made an immediate impact, recovering a fumble on the opening kickoff that helped lead to the first touchdown. He had 11 tackles, all solo, including a tackle for loss.

LB Caleb Nitz, Jr., Trine
Nitz had 12 tackles, six of them solo, in Trine's opening night 24-14 win against Manchester. He also had one and a half tackles for loss.

CB David Kalgren, Sr., Oberlin
Kalgren spearheaded a Yeomen defense that came away with six turnovers in a 33-3 win at Earlham. He had two interception returns for touchdowns, with the first covering 47 yards and the second going for 43. He also added two punt returns for a total of 40 yards.

S Jared Morris, Jr., Wesley
In his first game as a full-time defensive player after playing his first two years at wide receiver, Morris set a Wesley single-game record with four interceptions. Three of his picks came in the second half, including two in the fourth quarter.

S Jake Pelton, Sr., Washington and Lee
Pelton recorded a team-best nine tackles, all solo, and intercepted three passes in Washington and Lee's 35-28 loss to Franklin and Marshall. His three interceptions were the most by a W&L player since 1976 and improved his career total to 11 interceptions. Two of his picks occurred inside the W&L 5-yard line.

CB Daniel Brent, Fr., Bridgewater (Va.)
Brent notched three solo tackles, three assists and a pass breakup in Bridgewater's 23-7 victory over St. Vincent. He also forced a fumble and returned it 45 yards to set the Eagles up with good field position in the third quarter. 

Special teams
K Erickson Andrews, So., Oberlin
Andrews set a school record, cashing in four field goals in the Yeomen's 33-3 win at Earlham. He was true from 24,35,48 and 28 yards, with a miss from 40. He also tacked on his lone PAT attempt to finish with 13 points in the game. 

P Christian Hallingstad, Sr., UW-La Crosse
Hallingstad, a D3football.com preseason All-American, averaged 46.2 yards on nine punts in UW-L's 21-17 victory at sixth-ranked North Central. He had a long of 62-yards with four over 50 yards. Hallingstad finished with three punts inside the 20-yard line, including his final punt of the game, a 51-yard punt out of bounds at the Cardinals' 2-yard line with 1:06 remaining.

RET Chris Denton, Sr., Mount Union
Denton returned two punts for touchdowns and also caught seven passes for 89 yards in the Purple Raiders' 45-7 win at Franklin. He averaged 37.0 yards on four returns.
