(GROVE CITY, Pa.) – The 11th-ranked Thomas More College football team rolled up 687 yard of total offense today (Saturday, October 24, 2015) as it defeated Grove City College, 66-14, in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game at Robert E. Thorn Field in Grove City, Pennsylvania.

With the win, the Saints remain undefeated at 8-0 overall and 6-0 in the PAC.  With the loss, the Wolverines fall to 0-7 overall and 0-5 in the PAC.

Thomas More never trailed in the game as it led 21-0 after one quarter, 42-14 at halftime and 63-14 after three quarters. 

Freshman running back Hjavier Pitts (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mt. Healthy) had touchdown runs of one, two and five yards, while freshman running back Luke Zajac (Edgewood, Ky./Dixie Heights) had touchdown runs of three, two and one yard.  Sophomore running back C.T. Tarrant (Hamilton, Ohio/Hamilton) had a three-yard touchdown run.  The Saints had two touchdown receptions as senior wide receiver Goose Cohorn (Independence, Ky./Dixie Heights) touchdown catches of 31 and 43 yards.

Senior place kicker Tommy Budke (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) led the special teams scoring as he was a perfect eight-for-eight in point after attempts and connected on a 46-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

The Saints had 687 yards of offense (348 rushing, 339 passing), while the defense held Grove City to 233 yards of offense (50 rushing, 183 passing).

Sophomore quarterback Brenan Kuntz (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) was 14-of-20 passing for 339 yard and two touchdowns, while he also rushed for 21 yards on five carries.  Pitts led the Saints on the ground with 24 carries for 156 yard and three touchdowns and Zajac had 12 carries for 54 yards and three touchdowns.  Tarrant had seven carries for 62 yards and one touchdown.  Cohorn led the receiving corps with four catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns, while sophomore wide receiver Daylin Garland II (Newport, Ky./Newport) had four catches for 86 yards.

Senior defensive back Kyle Fuller (Taylor Mill, Ky./Holy Cross) led the Saints' defense with seven tackles (three solo, one assisted), including one tackle for a loss and junior linebacker DJ Powell (Erlanger, Ky./Covington Catholic) had six tackles (five solo, one assisted), including three tackles for a loss and one sack.  22 Saints had at least one tackle, while senior linebacker Nick Pennekamp (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) and freshman defensive back Brandon Neal (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota West) each had an interception.

Thomas More returns to action next Saturday (October 31) when it hosts Waynesburg University at 12 p.m. at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.  The Saints will honor their senior football student-athletes prior to kickoff.
