BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University football team falls to Marietta College in an Ohio Athletic Conference game by a final score of 42-21 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.
BW (2-3, 2-2 OAC) falls to 38-8 in the all-time series with Marietta (3-1, 2-1).
Senior tight end Austin Schuck (Wadsworth/Medina Highland) was named Frank Ropollo Offensive Player of the Game and senior All-OAC linebacker Mason Levasseur (Panama City, Fla./South Walton) was named the Dick Miller Defensive Player of the Game
Offensively for the Yellow Jackets, senior quarterback Joey Marousek (North Royalton) completed 20-of-38 passes for 317 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Sophomore running back George Linberger (Barberton/St. Vincent-St. Mary) rushed for 32 yards on six carries with 32 yards. Senior wide receiver Vinny Lomeo (East Amherst, N.Y./St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute) caught four passes for 80 yards with one touchdown. Defensively, Levasseur had a career-high and game-high 13 tackles and sophomore defensive lineman Hasim Rashid (Shaker Heights) tallied a career-high 11 stops
Offensively for the Pioneers, senior quarterback Connor Vierstra completed 14-of-21 passes for 147 yards. Senior All-OAC running back Bryce Agnew rushed for 139 yards on 30 carries with three touchdowns. Junior All-OAC wide receiver Dawson Snyder caught nine passes for 88 yards. Defensively, senior All-OAC defensive lineman Chance Knight and sophomore linebacker Brady McManaway each had 10 tackles.
