Offense

QB Phil Butler, So., Hope
In his first collegiate start, Butler threw six touchdown passes and completed 20 passes for 335 yards in a 41-21 win against DePauw.

This group has enabled running back Curtis Williams (see below) pick up right where All-American Will Castleberry left off, including a team 5.8 yards per rush this week, while allowing just one sack in two games.

RB Curtis Williams, Jr., Thomas More
Williams carried the ball 21 times for 153 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-21 victory against Hanover. He's averaging 5.6 yards per carry and 140.5 yards per game.

RB David Burrill, Sr., Massachusetts Maritime Academy
Burrill set the school record with 315 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 34 carries in the Academy's 28-27 win against the Maine Maritime Academy.

WR Steve Ryan, Sr., St. Olaf
Ryan had eight catches for 207 yards and two touchdowns in St. Olaf's 31-28 victory against last year's national runner-up, Saint John's. On the first play from scrimmage, Ryan caught an 80-yard touchdown strike from Joe Hammond. Ryan would go on to score a second TD on a fourth down and 22 from the Johnnies' 23-yard line by outjumping the defensive back in the corner of the end zone. Ryan also had two runs for 24 yards.

WR Jesse Von Behren, Jr., Simpson
Von Behren caught seven passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns, including a 50-yarder, in a 20-17 win against Buena Vista.

TE Matt Wagaman, Jr., Franklin & Marshall 
Wagaman caught seven passes for a team-high 102 yards in a 41-14 loss to Ursinus.

Defense

DL Quincy Malloy, Sr., Methodist
Malloy led the Monarchs' defense with a team-high eight tackles (six solo), including three tackles for loss and a sack in a 28-27 win against Salisbury. Malloy leads the Dixie conference in both stats.

DL Steven Wilson, Jr., King's
Wilson recorded five sacks for minus-68 yards among nine total tackles in a 38-28 win against Delaware Valley.

LB Omar Lucas, Sr., Montclair State
Lucas recorded 10 tackles (eight solo) and returned an interception 45 yards to the Brockport State 3-yard line in a 35-14 win against Brockport. He also forced a fumble and had a tackle for loss.

LB Ron Swearingin, So., Capital
Swearingin had 23 tackles (12 solo), broke up two passes and returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown in Capital's 45-22 win against Heidelberg in the OAC opener.

LB Ryan Rupprecht, Sr., Lycoming
Rupprecht compiled 10 tackles (nine solo), including two sacks in a 45-20 win against Susquehanna. He also recovered a fumble and returned it 39 yards for a touchdown.

LB Brandon Roberts, Jr., Washington U.
Roberts recorded 16 tackles (10 solo) in a 24-14 win against Case Western Reserve, including three sacks and one additional tackle for loss. He caused a fumble and recovered two.

DB Tommy Kenney, Jr., Ithaca
Kenney had 11 tackles (four solo) and two tackles for loss, as well as scoring the winning touchdown on a 46-yard run off a fake punt in a 29-21 win against D-II Mansfield.

DB Wes Bradley, Jr., Sewanee
Bradley had three interceptions in a 20-13 win against Emory & Henry. His third pick came at the Sewanee 9-yard line after the Wasps had scored to pull within seven points in the fourth quarter.

DB Matt Campbell, Fr., Johns Hopkins
Campbell had five tackles, forced and recovered a fumble, broke up two passes and had an interception in a 28-6 win against Rochester.

DB Tim Keur, Fr., Hope
Keur recorded only two tackles, but made life difficult for DePauw quarterback Jason Lee, breaking up five passes and intercepting another in a 41-21 win.

Special teams

K Brett Majors, Jr. Simpson
Majors' 37-yard field goal with 42 seconds remaining gave Simpson a 20-17 victory at Buena Vista. His 43-yarder earlier in the game was the fifth-longest in school history.

P Shawn Gehres, Sr., Rhodes
Gehres had five punts for an average of 47.6 yards with a long of 60 in Rhodes' 56-43 loss to Centre. He also had two of his three onside kicks recovered by Rhodes to allow the Lynx to get back into the game. In addition, he was 1-for-1 passing for 18 yards and a first down on a fake punt.

RET Bryant Wolfsberger, Jr., Wheaton
Wolfsberger opened the second half with an 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in Wheaton's 58-33 win at Wabash. In addition to the 80-yard return he had two 22-yard returns and a 20-yard return to give the Thunder solid field position throughout the game.
