Offense

QB Juan Joseph, Sr., Millsaps
Joseph accounted for 410 of the Majors’ 590 total yards of offense in just three quarters in a 55-13 blowout win of DePauw, connecting on 33 of 43 passes (76.7 percent) for 345 yards and two scores and also rushing for 65 yards and two more scores.

OL P.J. DiGati, J.J. Ambrosio, Andrew Murphy, Ryan Chronister, Gary Chrys, Hartwick
The line enabled a 31-point, four-touchdown, 487-yard effort against a St. John Fisher team that had not allowed a TD in its previous seven quarters. The line also paved the way for the first 100-yard rusher against the Cardinal defense in 18 games. They allowed just two sacks and the team rushed for 79 more yards than its average entering the game (103.0).

RB Charlie Parker, Jr., Lebanon Valley
Parker ran for 267 yards on 44 carries in a 28-21 win against Wilkes. He got 15 touches in the fourth quarter as the Dutchmen held onto their lead.

RB Bruce Burley, Sr., Bridgewater State
Burley rushed for touchdowns of 48 and 41 yards. His 202 rushing yards on the day, on just 11 carries, increased his career total to 1,953.

WR Craig Besong, Jr., Washington and Jefferson
Besong posted the second-best receiving yardage day in school history with 213 yards in a 43-14 win at Geneva. He averaged 26.6 yards per catch on eight receptions, including touchdown catches of 63 and 7 yards.

WR Michael Jennings, Sr., Illinois College
Jennings caught 11 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns in the Blueboys' 28-16 win against Lawrence. Through five games, Jennings has already set the school single-season record for receptions with 57.

WR Sam Wernick, Fr., Johns Hopkins
Wernick fueled the Blue Jays' near upset of No. 5 Muhlenberg with five receptions for 205 yards and two touchdowns. His two touchdown receptions covered 91 and 81 yards and rank as the third and fourth-longest receptions in school history.

Defense

DL Kenny Kikilas, Jr., Loras
With a cast on one hand, Kikilas had four tackles for loss and three sacks among his nine tackles in a 42-0 win against Cornell.

DL Josh Jerrold, Sr., Gettysburg
Jerrold made two and a half sacks totaling 21 yards and forced three fumbles in Gettysburg's 38-7 win against Ursinus.

DL Brian Calderone, Sr., Case Western Reserve
Calderone, who had missed the previous two games with a leg injury, wreaked havoc in the Denison backfield, recording eight tackles, four solo, including two and a half sacks in the win. 

LB Desmond Hendricks, Sr., Rhodes
Hendricks made 13 tackles (seven solo), recorded seven and a half tackles for losses of 35 yards, had four and a half sacks for 30 yards and 1 pass breakup.

LB Michael Nettling, Sr., John Carroll
Nettling helped John Carroll improve to 3-1 with a career-high 17 tackles, seven solo. He added four tackles for loss and a sack in the week the Blue Streaks lost both starting defensive ends to season-ending injuries.

LB Kyle Chewning, Jr., Maryville (Tenn.)
Chewning helped the Scots hold N.C. Wesleyan to 39 rushing yards in a 37-24 win. He picked up a team-high 11 tackles, eight solo. Chewning also collected two sacks for a total loss of 4 yards and picked off a Bishop pass in the third quarter which help set up a field goal.

LB Alex Mierau, Sr., Luther
Mierau recorded a 97-yard interception return with 1:16 remaining in the first half, stopping a Central drive with the Dutch leading 7-6 at the time. Luther went on to win 26-7.

DB Garrett Adamson, Sr., Augsburg
Adamson tied for Augsburg's lead in tackles with 10 (seven solo) in a 24-21 win at Hamline, improving Augsburg to 4-0 for the first time since 1973. He also had a key sack for a 12-yard loss late in the game, which pushed the Pipers back to the Augsburg 17-yard-line. On the next play, the Pipers missed a potential game-tying 34-yard field goal with 13 seconds left.

DB Drew Ziller, Sr., Carleton
Ziller had a team-high 12 tackles, including a pair of sacks in the first half. Both sacks helped force turnovers on downs in Carleton territory. Ziller led the Carleton defense that allowed St. Olaf to cross midfield only twice in the second half.

DB Matt Warnasch, Sr., Hardin-Simmons
Warnasch tied the national Division III season high for tackles in a game with 23, 14 solo, in the Cowboys 20-18 loss against third-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor. He also blocked a field goal.

DB Tom Daley, Sr., Colby
Daley had two fumble recoveries, added five tackles from his safety position and had two pass breakups for the Mules in a 13-7 win over Wesleyan.

Special teams

K Scott Birkhofer, Sr., Linfield
Birkhofer broke his own school record for longest field goal, booting a 54-yarder, and accounted for all of Linfield's points in a 9-0 win over Menlo, connecting from 32 and 39 yards. Also averaged 68.8 yards on four kickoffs.

P Richard Pattison, So., Carnegie Mellon
Pattison had four punts that averaged 52.5 yards in the Tartans 23-12 win against Kenyon. Pattison placed one of his punts inside the Lords' 20-yard line and recorded a career-high 57-yard punt.

ST Christian Verley, So., Trine
Verley blocked two extra point attempts, one with 35 seconds left in the game, to seal a 31-30 win against Hope.

RET William Alston, So., Albright
Alston returned a punt 52 yards for a touchdown and a kickoff 80 yards for another one in the Lions' 24-17 home win against FDU-Florham.
