Offense

QB Jeff Javorek, Sr., John Carroll
Making his first career start (he missed the game vs. Thomas More with an injury) after two years as a backup, Javorek tossed five touchdown passes to four receivers as JCU racked up its highest point total ever against a Baldwin-Wallace team in a 43-29 victory. Offense committed no turnovers and Javorek was never sacked as he completed 30 of 51 passes for 309 yards.

OL Justyn Helgeson, Ben Katzner, Josh Ostrue, Jon Curtis, Chad Vandergriff, St. Thomas
Josh Ostrue and his linemates have blocked for 11 100-yard rushing performances and allowed just 10 total sacks in the past 12 games. In Saturday's 27-16 win against St. Olaf, UST mounted scoring drives of 73, 80, 80 and 67 yards on the day against a unit that came in ranked first in NCAA Division III in rushing defense at minus-53 net yards allowed in two games. UST is averaging 421 yards and 20 first downs per game in two outings in 2009.

RB Justin Spaulding, So., Dubuque
Spaulding had 253 all-purpose yards in a loss to Central, rushing 30 times for 157 yards and a touchdown and catching three passes for 96 yards and another score.

RB Cory Sartorelli, Sr., UW-Eau Claire
With the Blugolds defeating Hope 52-45 in double overtime Saturday, Sartorelli scored six of the Blugolds' seven touchdowns, all on the ground. After opening the day's scoring with a three-yard touchdown run, Sartorelli added another later in the first quarter from 65 yards out. He scored two more touchdowns in the second, one in the third and one in the fourth. The six touchdowns tied for most in a single game, while he finished with 33 carries for 180 yards.

WR Pi'Dadro Davis, Sr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Davis had a career-high seven receptions for 104 yards and the Cru's first touchdown in a win against Texas Lutheran despite playing little more than two quarters of the game. The 100-yard receiving game was the fifth in the past two years for Davis.

WR Craig Besong, Sr., Washington and Jefferson
Besong totaled at least eight catches for the third consecutive game and notched his second 100-yard receiving day of the season, going for nine receptions and 139 yards in a 56-16 win against Thiel. His second quarter touchdown gave W&J a 14-0 lead.

TE Dan Higgins, Jr., Ithaca
Higgins set career highs in catches (seven), touchdown catches (two) and receiving yards (74). As the team's long snapper, he also recovered a fumbled punt to set up a touchdown in a 41-17 win against Widener.

Defense

DL Eddie Vallery, Jr., Wittenberg
Vallery spearheaded a dominating defensive effort in a 46-0 win at Washington U., recording nine tackles, seven solo, with five tackles for loss and four sacks. Tigers have allowed just six points and 216 yards of total offense through two games in 2009, including a shutout and just 99 yards by the Bears. Washington University was held to minus-7 yards rushing in the game.

DL Cory Homer, So., Lebanon Valley
Homer had a a team-high seven tackles, including 4.0 for a loss, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery in Lebanon Valley's 32-3 win against Moravian. His fumble recovery in the first quarter set up LVC's first touchdown. At defensive end, he helped LVC hold Moravian to just 14 yards rushing on 25 attempts and 132 yards of total offense.

DL Bryan Wiley, Sr., Cortland State
Wiley recorded a career-high 15 tackles, seven solo, in Cortland's 24-14 home victory vs. Rowan. He finished with three tackles for loss and half a sack.

DL Alex Wertheimer, Jr., Occidental
Wertheimer had eight tackles, four solo, and 10 quarterback hurries in a 31-27 loss to Linfield.

LB Miles Sager, Sr., Millsaps
Sager tied a career-high with eight tackles, including two tackles for loss, and had the game-sealing interception on Austin College's final drive as Millsaps came from behind to top the 'Roos, 31-30 on the road.

LB James Taraboi, Sr., UW-Oshkosh
Taraboi totaled 10 tackles, including one sack, and played a part in three Huntingdon turnovers in a 31-13 UW-Oshkosh win. Taraboi forced two fumbles, one of which he recovered, and intercepted a pass. His forced fumbles came in the first and third quarters and led to UW-Oshkosh scores. In the fourth quarter, Taraboi stopped a Huntingdon drive by intercepting a pass at the UW-Oshkosh 5-yard line and returning it 23 yards..

LB Beau Calcei, Jr., Kenyon
Calcei led all players with 11 tackles in a win over Hiram, and tied a Kenyon single-game record with three interceptions. He took his picks for a total of 23 yards and they wound up leading to 10 points for the Lords' offense. It was the first time since 1990 that a Kenyon player made three interceptions in a game.

CB Phil Garrett, Jr., Maryville (Tenn.)
Garrett had four tackles, two solo, and two interceptions in a win against LaGrange. Both interceptions were in the red zone, and his 42-yard return set up a Scots' touchdown drive.

S George Davis, Sr., Marietta
Davis posted a career-best 16 total tackles, which included 14 solo hits, in a 24-20 win against Wilmington. The Marietta defense rose to the challenge when needed the most, as it held the Quakers to 0-for-5 on fourth-down attempts, all of which came inside the Pioneers' own 32-yard line..

S Danny Polaneczky, So., Chicago
Polaneczky collected 12 tackles, a forced fumble, and an interception in Chicago's season-opening 37-36 double overtime victory over Kenyon. He preserved the win on the game's final play by breaking up the Lords' two-point conversion attempt.

Rogowski was 2-for-2 on field goals and 5-for-5 on extra points in a 41-17 win against Widener. His 39-yard field goal was a career-long, topped by a 43-yarder on last play of first half (following two straight "icing" timeouts called by Widener). He also had a successful 30-yard FG taken off board after roughing the kicker penalty.

P Austin Morman, So., Washington U.
Morman punted eight times for an average of 42.8 in Washington University’s 46-0 loss at home to Wittenberg. Morman landed two kicks inside the 20-yard line and had a season-long punt of 51 yards in the first quarter. He improved his career average to 40.0, which would be tops in school history over a full career.

RET Chase Nadell, So., Muhlenberg
Nadell returned the opening kickoff of the second half 87 yards for a touchdown to break a 7-7 tie and send Muhlenberg on its way to a 17-7 win vs. No. 22 Union.
