March 20, 2018 Alfred State's new coach moves across the street When the Pioneers went looking for a new coach, they found someone who can just carry his stuff in a box from his old office to his new one. It's Scott Linn, from Alfred University, which is literally across the street in Alfred, New York.
October 28, 2017 Pioneers Ride Past Mustangs The Alfred State football team earned their first Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) victory with a 18-8 victory over Mount Ida on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers scored 18 unanswered points in the 2nd half to erase a 8-0 deficit.
August 31, 2017 Coast Guard Takes Season Opener The Coast Guard scored three times in the 1st quarter as they earned a 34-7 victory in the opening game of the 2017 season.
January 27, 2016 ECFC gains two members The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference looks as if it will be able to retain its automatic bid after it added two new schools, one of which isn't even a provisional member of Division III as of yet.
January 27, 2016 Alfred State Joins ECFC Alfred State President Dr. Skip Sullivan and Athletic Director Dr. Kelly Higgins are excited to announce that the college has been accepted and will become a member of the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC). For the first time in school history, the blue and gold will begin play as a four-year NCAA school and member of the ECFC beginning in the 2017 season.
