    The Lewis & Clark (4-3, 2-2 NWC) football team played a tough game against the No. 25 ranked Pacific Lutheran Lutes (6-1, 3-1 NWC) on Saturday. The Pioneers and the Lutes were in a closely contested game entering the fourth quarter with the Pioneers leading 23-22. In the fourth quarter however, the Lutes played tough defense and came up with some timely plays on offense defeating the Pioneers 35-23.

    In one of the craziest games of the season, the Lewis & Clark Pioneers came from behind to defeat the Puget Sound Loggers on the road on Saturday afternoon in a Northwest Conference showdown. The Pioneers quarterback Keith Welch hooked up with junior Shawn Evans with one second left on the clock to earn the Pios a 68-64 victory.

    The Lewis & Clark football team continued their best season in years securing a 31-10 victory over the Menlo Oaks. It is the first time the Pioneers have defeated Menlo as well as the first time the Pioneers have had a winning record through five games since the 2003 season. The 3-0 start at their home field as well as the three total wins are also the best start for Lewis & Clark since 2003.
