October 12, 2019 Career Day by Robertson Leads MIT Past Maine Maritime, 30-12 Led by a career-high 263-yard rushing performance from senior John Robertson (Brentwood, Tenn.), the MIT football team defeated Maine Maritime Academy by a 30-12 final on Saturday afternoon in Cambridge. This was the first 200-yard rushing game for MIT since 2015 and is the third-highest single-game total in program history.
September 28, 2019 Defense, Special Teams Lead MIT Past Catholic in NEWMAC Opener In the NEWMAC opener for both teams, the MIT football team defeated Catholic University by a 32-13 final on Saturday in Washington, D.C. The Engineers were led by an outstanding defensive and special teams effort, along with a pair of long touchdown passes from senior Chris Mauck (Wellington, Fla.).
November 10, 2018 MIT Claims NEWMAC Championship With 22-7 Win Over Springfield On Senior Day, the MIT football team forced three Springfield turnovers and turned those into 12 points, en route to a 22-7 final and the outright 2018 NEWMAC Conference Championship. Prior to the game, the Engineers recognized the senior class for their contributions to the MIT program during their careers.
November 3, 2018 MIT Improves to 8-1 With 20-0 Road Shutout of Norwich On Saturday afternoon, the MIT football team picked up its third shutout victory in its last four games with a 20-0 road shutout of Norwich University at Sabine Field. Today’s win sets up next week’s matchup with Springfield College as both teams will have a chance for at least a share of the NEWMAC Championship.
