April 18, 2019 Five Ithaca Football Players Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society IRVING, Texas - The National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Hall of Fame announced the members of the 2019 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers, on April 10. An all-time high of 1,643 players from a record 424 schools qualified for membership in the society’s 13th year.
December 10, 2018 Ithaca's Pat Minogue Named AFCA First-Team All-America ITHACA, N.Y. – On Monday morning, December 10, senior Pat Minogue of the Ithaca College football program was named Division III First-Team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) as a linebacker. Minogue becomes just the 15th player in the football program’s history to be named an All-American by the AFCA and the first since 2000.
December 4, 2018 Five Bombers Land on D3football.com All-East Region Teams ITHACA, N.Y. – On Monday evening, five members of the Ithaca College football program were named All-East Region by D3football.com. Senior Pat Minogue was a first-team selection as a safety, while junior wide receiver Will Gladney and senior cornerback Jovonte Long received second-team selections. Senior offensive lineman Bobby Puckey and defensive tackle Brien Pacholec rounded out the voting as third-team honorees.
November 17, 2018 Ithaca Drops Heartbreaker to Utica in the ECAC Scotty Whitelaw Bowl, 44-42 ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College football team suffered a heartbreaking shootout loss to Utica College, 44-42, in the ECAC Scotty Whitelaw Bowl on Saturday afternoon at Cornell’s Schoellkopf Field. Utica connected on a 36-yard field goal with under a minute left in regulation to take the lead and an interception on IC’s final possession sealed the win.
November 14, 2018 GAME NOTES: Ithaca Closes Season on Saturday vs. Utica in ECAC Scotty Whitelaw Bowl ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College football team will look to put the finishing touches on a successful 2018 season as the Bombers host former Empire 8 Conference rival Utica College in the ECAC Scotty Whitelaw Bowl on Saturday at Cornell’s Schoellkopf Field. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. Ithaca is 8-2 on the season, while Utica brings a 6-4 mark into Saturday’s contest.
November 13, 2018 Seventeen Named All-Liberty League; Gladney and Minogue Players of the Year TROY, N.Y. – The Liberty League announced its all-conference football teams on Tuesday afternoon and seventeen members of the Ithaca College program were honored on one of three teams. Highlights the all-league selections were junior Will Gladney, who was named Offensive Player of the Year, and senior Pat Minogue, who was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year.
