DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College seniors Drew Kuesel and Joemese Scott have been selected to play in the third-annual Ohio National Guard Senior Bowl hosted by OhioCollegeFootball.com. The game will be played on April 14 at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio with a 1:00 start time.
The game will feature Ohio's top collegiate football student-athletes from the NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA levels with 83 players split into North and South teams. The North squad will feature Kuesel and Scott this season and holds a 2-0 edge in the all-time series. Defiance's Kyle Longsdorf capped a 19-16 North win in 2011 with a game-saving interception in the end zone with 26 seconds left in the contest.
Kuesel was named Honorable Mention All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference this season from his running back position. The Patrick Henry High product ran for eight touchdowns in 2011 and is one of two running backs on the North.
Scott is among seven defensive linemen to make the North, after rounding out his collegiate career for Defiance with four sacks and 9.5 stops for negative yardage from his defensive end slot.
