BALTIMORE, MD -- Johns Hopkins senior wide receiver Scott Cremens(Finksburg, PA/Westminster) has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Blue Jays to a 40-20 win over Juniata on Saturday. Cremens is the first Johns Hopkins player to earn the award this season.

Cremens entered the game against the Eagles with nine catches in his first three games after suffering an off-season injury that kept him out of the season-opener. He matched that total against Juniata with his nine receptions going for a career-high 178 yards and three touchdowns. His touchdowns covered 40, 29 and five yards and the three scores matched his career-high. He now has 18 receptions for 242 yards and three touchdowns on the year.

With his exploits in the win against the Eagles, Cremens also continued his steady climb in the Johns Hopkins record book. He now ranks ninth in school history in touchdown receptions (15), 10th in receptions (113) and 14th in receiving yards (1,356).

Johns Hopkins (5-0, 4-0 Centennial) ran its regular season winning streak to 19 games and its Centennial Conference winning streak to 17 games with the win against Juniata. The Blue Jays, who are ranked 13th in this week's AFCA Division III Coaches Poll and 18th by d3football.com, are off this week and will return to action on Saturday, October 13 when they travel to Dickinson.
