No need to investigate, thanks

Redlands trailed Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 21-3 and saw its hopes of staying in the SCIAC race and perhaps getting an at-large bid to the playoffs fading. But the Bulldogs put together a second-half comeback, culminating in this play which avoided the need for overtime altogether.

The Play of the Week is sponsored by the City of Salem, hosts of Stagg Bowl XXXIX.

We solicit video of top plays from every Division III football program and this was our top clip.

Week 7 Play of the Week finalists

  • Undermanned Oberlin, dressing around 40 players, pulled out all the stops to try to rally against Wabash. Down by nine with 7:03 left, the Yeomen hit on a two-point conversion to make it a one-score game. Watch
  • This looks like a standard interception, except it's a Guilford fake punt gone wrong. Bridgewater's Tyler Staton is there to pick it off and take it back for six. Watch
