All-Time Listing of D3football.com All-Americans

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins senior running back Jonathan Rigaud (Pembroke Pines, FL/Pembroke Pines) and junior offensive tackle Armand Jenifer (Teaneck, NJ/Bergen County Academies) have been named to the 2012 D3football.com All-America Team as both were named to the fourth team. Rigaud and Jenifer are the eighth and ninth Johns Hopkins players to be named D3football.com All-Americans since the team was first selected in 1999. D3football selected a first, second, third and fourth teams with no honorable mentions named.

Rigaud, who previously earned Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Centennial and Second Team D3football.com All-South Region honors, rushed for 1,555 yards and 22 touchdowns and totaled a team-high 1,649 all-purpose yards this season. He had a pair of 200-yard rushing games and topped the 100-yard mark eight times on the year. His 22 rushing touchdowns tied the Johns Hopkins single-season record and his 1,555 yards are the second-most in school history. He is just the second Johns Hopkins running back to earn All-America honors as he joins Andrew Kase (2009) in this exclusive fraternity.

Junior Armand Jenifer picked up his second All-America nod with his selection to the D3football.com fourth team.

While difficult to judge, the selection for Jenifer arguably makes him the most decorated offensive lineman in school history. In addition his selection to the D3football.com All-America Team, he was recently named a First Team AFCA All-American and First Team D3football.com All-South. Jenifer also grabbed First Team All-Centennial Conference honors for the second consecutive year and he is one of just two non-seniors among the 20 offensive linemen who were named to the D3football.com All-America Team.

A starter at right tackle in every game this season and 30 consecutive games dating back to the 2010 season, Jenifer led a Blue Jay offensive line that paved the way for a unit that averaged 36.8 points and 485.2 yards per game. Both of those averages are the second-highest in school history, while the Blue Jays set school records for total yards (5,823), plays (954), points scored (441), first downs (317), overall touchdowns (63) and rushing touchdowns (47). The 2012 season also marked the first time in school history that Johns Hopkins has averaged more than 250 yards rushing (252.8) and 230 yards passing (232.4).

Johns Hopkins posted a 10-2 record, won a fourth consecutive Centennial Conference title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Playoffs this season. The Blue Jays also spent the entire season ranked in the top 25 for the second consecutive year.
