October 7, 2017 Carnegie Mellon Falls in Tough Matchup to #16 Washington & Jefferson The Carnegie Mellon University football team hosted the 16th-ranked Presidents of Washington and Jefferson College in a Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) showdown and dropped a hard fought, 27-20, battle. Carnegie Mellon is 5-1 and 3-1 in PAC play while W&J remains unbeaten at 5-0 and 3-0 (PAC).
October 4, 2017 Carnegie Mellon University Game Notes vs. #16 Washington & Jefferson College The Carnegie Mellon University football team will host #16 Washington & Jefferson College on Saturday, October 7 in an undefeated Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest. Carnegie Mellon will enter play on Saturday with a mark of 5-0 and 3-0 in PAC play, while the Presidents travel to Pittsburgh with a record of 4-0, 2-0. October 3, 2017 Carnegie Mellon's Prather and Kohman Receive PAC and UAA Weekly Recognition Two Carnegie Mellon University seniors, wide receiver John Prather (Olney, Md./Our Lady Of Good Counsel) and punter / placekicker Tyler Kohman (Pataskala, Ohio/Columbus Academy), were recognized by the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) and the University Athletic Association (UAA) for their play in the Tartans’ 45-14 win over Bethany College on Saturday. Prather was named Offensive Player of the Week while Kohman was honored as Special Teams Athlete of the Week. The two have helped the Tartans to their best start since 2006 at 5-0.
September 30, 2017 Carnegie Mellon Off to Best Start Since 2006; Defeats Bethany 45-14 The Carnegie Mellon University football team traveled to Bethany, West Virginia, on Saturday to play the Bison and came away with a 45-14 victory in a Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) contest. Carnegie Mellon improves to 5-0 over and 3-0 in the PAC while Bethany is now 0-5, 0-3. The Tartans 5-0 start to the season marks its best since 2006 and is just the 12th time in program history a team has started the season with five straight wins.
